A diet for eczema should not only exclude foods that you may be allergic to, but also those that harm your immune system. Your body needs the right foods to keep your immune system working properly at all times. Certain foods cause an allergic reaction and trigger eczema. Foods to avoid that often cause eczema flares include dairy products, berries, eggs, gluten, wheat, nuts, citrus fruits, soy, tomatoes, fish, and chocolate. To determine which of these foods will cause skin irritation, serve yourself one serving of one of these foods daily. After about a day, do an evaluation to determine which of these foods is causing your breakouts. If any of the foods cause a rash, eliminate them one at a time from your list.
